About Giulia Bertolini

I am Giulia Bertolini, and volleyball is the sport that Italy treats with the seriousness most countries reserve for football. The Italian SuperLega, both men's and women's, is among the strongest club volleyball leagues in the world, and women's international volleyball produces some of the most tactically refined competition I cover.

Hitter efficiency is where I begin every preview. Kill percentage, error rate, and effective hitting percentage tell me more about a player's match impact than spike velocity ever could. The best hitters consistently put balls down in difficult situations — back-row attacks, broken plays, second-tempo sets against a stacked block. Reading these efficiency numbers across recent matches is essential.

Defensive positioning matters more than people realise. A libero who reads hitters early and gets to balls others can't will turn second-percentage points into actual wins. The same applies to back-row defenders who position themselves correctly on the deep angle versus the line attack. These small positional advantages add up over a five-set match.

Women's volleyball is where I find some of my best betting value. The Italian Serie A1 women's league, the FIVB Women's World Championship, and the Olympic qualifiers all produce competitive matches with markets that are typically softer than the men's equivalents. I cover women's volleyball with the same depth of analysis because the game itself rewards it.

At FixedCorrectScores, I write Italian and women's volleyball previews for readers who appreciate the technical and tactical layers of this sport. My job is to read hitter efficiency, defensive positioning, and set-scoring patterns — and to find the small edges that separate predictable winners from honest coin flips.
